The Good Person's Anger: What Your Temper Is Protecting

Why anger brings shame for 'good people', what your temper is quietly protecting, and how shadow work turns anger into evidence of what you care about.

A weathered compass resting on cracked earth in low amber light

Most of us were taught that anger is the problem. Lose your temper, and you've revealed something ugly about yourself. Stay calm, and you're the good one. So when anger arrives, the first move is often to manage it, suppress it, or explain it away before anyone notices.

Shadow work asks us to try something harder: to stay in the room with the anger long enough to hear what it's actually saying.
